NPFL: Sunshine Stars Players And Officials To Undergo COVID-19 Test

Players and officials of Nigeria professional football league side Sunshine stars will today undergo the mandatory COVID:19 test to a certain the health status of the team ahead of the December 27th kick off date.

Media officer Sunshine starts of Akure Chris Okunuwa confirmed this in a telephone interview with our sports reporter Isaac Afolabi.

Chris Okunuwa who was featured on a live sports program sports cafe on positive 102.5FM Akure said the team is leaving no stone unturned in meeting all rules and regulations listed by the League management company(LMC),(NFF) and others in ensuring a more better 2020/21 league season.

While answering questions on the level of renovation done on the Akure sports complex,home ground for Sunshine stars,Okunuwa noted that appreciable level of work has been done on the facility especially the turf to get one hundred percent nod of the league organizers.

The media officer further confirmed that the team has since resumed training,although admitted they are a bit backwards due to late preparation but was optimistic that the arrays of experts in the team,they will catch up and be set for the upcoming season.

Earlier,the minister of youths and sports in Nigeria Mr Sunday Dare announced the commencement of the league on Saturday this week after series of postponement.
