What could have been described as tragic was averted this morning as officials and players of Wikki Tourists Football Club of Bauchi have been involved in a ghatsly road accident on their way to Uyo to honour their weekend match but were all unhurt.
The accident which happened at Kibo road around the popular Forest area after Jos in plateau state saw the bus the players and officials were traveling in burnt to ashes.
No life was lost but players lost their valuables and luggage which were trapped in the bus when it went up in flames
Media Officer of the club, Nasir said the accident occured when the back tyre of the bus pulled out and after running for some meters, there was explosion before the bus went into flames.
Wikki Tourists are 10 on the 2020/2021 NPFL season with 13 points from 10 matches.
