Hot coal sizzlers are back to back champion of Abuja City Basketball League 2022.
The women’s league which was played for months, see Moheats play against Hotcoal Sizzlers at the finals, which ended 48 points to 25 points. Murja Musa Liman from Hotcoal Sizzlers was the most valuable player of Abuja City Women’s basketball League.

In an interview with the General Manager of Hotcoal basketball team Ubon udoh said that the technical and management team did an excellent job in putting together a team in a very short period of time despite the fact that they lost some players to other clubs.
“We lost 8 players before the season and had to rebuild the team all over in a very short window”
He added that the Hotcoal values of hardwork, discipline, and focus have been transferred to the team.
Ubon stressed that his plans for basketball in Nigeria is to plant the seed and grow a basketball model in the country that will create a moral value system, where kids can learn to maximize their potential through sport so they can get opportunities for educational, professional, career and financial growth.
Also speaking the coordinator of Abuja City Basketball league Opeyemi Ogunleye, promised that the next season of the league will be more entertaining and exciting.
Opeyemi said this year Abuja City Basketball league was full of suspense from week 1 to the finals, however he urged private organizations to sponsor and invest in the league so as to make it a basketball league people can reckon with locally and internationally.
