Promise to popularise the game in the state

The Ondo state chapter of the national body of the Rope Skipping Federation has concluded plans to organise a series of programs and exhibitions to popularise the game in the nook and craning of Ondo state

This was agreed upon at the inaugural meeting of the members which took place at the Akure sports complex.

Part of the resolutions is to stage an exhibition during the 2020 children day and an inter-school challenge in Akure with its focus on primary and secondary schools.

Also at the meeting,some members were unanimously saddled with the responsibility of handling the association on an interim bases

They are;
Acting chairperson Mrs Bolanle Seketeri, Assistant chairperson Miss Laurel Ojo, spokesperson of the association is Isaac Afolabi, the man in charge of logistics is Coach Patrick oguche while the technical director of the Association is Coach Chibuisi Ukandu .

Other event that took place is the display of the association’s logo

Admonishing the official head of coaching at the Ondo state sports complex, Pastor Fagite Joseph charged them to work as a team and use the platform to shape the future of talented kids in the state

He further promised his total support in ensuring that the game becomes a household name in the state

Also, another top executive member of the Ondo State Sports Council, Mr Olabimi Adeiyi said since the game is less capital inclusive more children will be attracted and was optimistic the game will take more youths off the street to stardom.

Mr Adeiyi, a senior and experienced sports manager also promised to help the association administratively .

It will be recorded that at the first National Championship hosted by Ondo State, Grace Ali set a new national record with 92 jumps in 30 seconds.
