The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) in Ondo State received the news of the demise of a veteran sports broadcaster and one of the founding fathers of our great association in the state, late Ayo Ogedengbe as a rude shock.
Mr. Ogendengbe was an outstanding leader and was actively engaged in all activities related to the development sports in Ondo state, especially in broadcasting and journalism, even after retirement from active service.
Ondo SWAN will never forget the deceased’s impacts especially during the 2020 SWAN award night, and organisation of various seminars for SWAN members on the rudiment of the profession among others.
Mr Ogedengbe, died in the early hours of Thursday August 20, 2020 at his Oba-ile residence, Akure, during a brief illness.
We pray that God will grant his soul peaceful rest and uphold his family members and give them fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
