Ondo state sports complex,Akure will again come alive as plans have been concluded to stage the maiden edition of hoop for hope basketball challenge.
Organiser of the competition and a basketball referee Tosin Olajubutu said that one of the aims of the challenge is to ignite the love,passion of basketball in kids, irrespective of their educational and academic status, keep basketball players in the state active not leaving out other interested individuals.
According to Olajubutu the game will dunk off at the indoor sports complex Akure Ondo state.
He said among those who will grace the occasion included National and domestic basketball coaches,elite players who will serve as models and tutor the kids on the rudiment of the game.
He noted that the games will also have some interesting side attraction to ignite the atmosphere,show skills among players and reignite the passion among basketball players.
They are shooting contest,dunk contest among others.
Winners will cart away with cash prizes while other participating teams will go home with gifts and slated for 19-20
