A FIFA licenced Agent, Mr Shalom Olaseni has charged the executive of the Sports writers Association Of Nigeria (SWAN),Ondo State Chapter,to work hard to return the state to the rightful position in the comity of states known for engendering sports development.
Olaseni stated this while receiving the executive members of the association at hid office, in Akure, the state capital.
He said sports,in Ondo State was not where it should be, adding that SWAN, being the watchdog and engine that drives sports development should put stakeholders on their toes in all areas.
The businessman assured the association of his support, charging ghe executive members to set records and shatter history positively through their power of pen to make Ondo State a model for others to emulate.
“My support for the association is not because I’m a friend to the association ,but for my passion and commitment for the development of the round leather game at the grassroots level.
“I am ready to partner and work with the association ,for the advancement of sports in the state,” he said.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Sports writers Association Of Nigeria SWAN, Mr Segun Giwa, commended the FIFA Licenced Agent for his contributions to the development of the sports, especially the round leather game in the state.
Giwa urged him to keep the good work going, saying he has displayed uncommon passion for sports development.
“You are a critical stakeholders in the sports circle, so we are enjoining you to develop interest in the sports politics, so that you can use the avenue to contribute your quota to the development of sports at the grassroots and encourage future athletes,” he said.
