BIOGRAPHY OF THE INITIATOR
Isaac Olasehinde Oluwasegun Afolabi was born in Kadawa Kano state in the northern part of the country to the family of late Mr and Mrs Pius Ilemobayo and Victoria Afolabi on the 10th September 1984.
Young Isaac started his elementary school at the popular Tiga community primary and secondary school also known as (Makarantan Boko) in Tiga Kano state.
He then completed his primary education at Central Primary School, Sabon-Wuse in Tafa local government area of Niger state.
Also, young Isaac had his secondary education in Diko Day Secondary School Niger state, Government secondary school, Jiwa Abuja, Government science secondary school Tungan-Maje Abuja and Niger secondary school where he finished his west Africa examination WAEC and National examination council NECO.
Meanwhile, his middle name now OLASAINDE was as a result of a mistake made in putting down his name for SSCE which he adopted ever since.
Being a son of a former Nigeria Air Force personnel, Isaac sought to be enrolled into the Nigeria Defence Academy, Kaduna but missed the chance for the entrance examination during the 1999 Crisis.
He then rekindled his passion for communication and journalism by obtaining National Diploma (2005-2007) and Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication at the polytechnic Ile Ife, Osun state between (2013-2015) where he served as the public relations officer of the faculty and later as president of the faculty with tremendous records and achievement.
While undergoing his National Diploma, Isaac teamed up with a classmate, Funkẹ Oyedele to construct a press board, write and paste news on a daily basis on it with a name THE OBSERVERS.
He was posted for his National Youth Service Corp to Imo State but redeployed to serve in Ekiti state and finished as the CDS (service delivery) President.
Isaac Afolabi has always been a sports person with passion for humanity and helping others in his own capacity.
Isaac Afolabi with nickname (Zico) miraculously joined the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria FRCN in 2011 from being an IT student and freelancer under the then General Manager of Positive 102.5fm Akure Prince Akin Akinboboye and Reverend Oluwasegun Ayankoso.
Isaac Afolabi did not end there, he again enrolled for his BSC program in Mass Communication at the Oduduwa university Ipetumodu, Osun state, and also become a member of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
He has bagged several awards and recognition especially in the field of broadcasting and sports.
Notable among them are the best sports journalist (Broadcast) by the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Ondo state in 2015, 2017 and 2019, Best Sports Presenter by the National Association of Ile Oluji Student in 2017.
Also, recognition of investing in grassroot sports development by the FOWOSO, a forum organised by the wife of the Ondo State Governor, Mrs Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu, Sports Ambassador by CFAS sports global institute and presently the vice chairman Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria Ondo state chapter.
Isaac Afolabi is also the founder of Blitzik sports a non governmental organization that basically deals with the promotion and encouragement of sports and education among kids,youths in the society.
Blitzik sports has however organised several sports competition for over students, basketball teams not only in Ondo state but across the Southwest region and beyond.
