Days after stunning the entire universe with an historical victory over the United States of America Basketball team, D’Tigers of Nigeria have climbed to 4th in the world as the Tokyo 2020 Olympics draws close.
The Nigerian Basketball Team have been the talk of the moment securing two big victories, against former World number 1 USA men’s team and Argentina in Vegas. That spurred them up from 22nd in the world to 4th.
Just days ago, coach Mike Brown questioned the criteria for the rankings, asking how Nigeria with the talent level be placed 22nd in the world, now coach Brown has been justified for his remarks.
After winning all 3 exhibition games the Boomers Australia has replaced team USA in the number one spot after the latter dropped two losses out of three games played.
The Spanish national team went 4-0 in their first four preparation games, scoring 89.2 points per game while allowing 67.5 at the other end, Pau Gasol scored his 3,600th point for the national team, Rudy Fernandez climbed over 4500 minutes played for Spain, Ricky Rubio scored his 1000th point for the squad, and Pau and Marc played their 115th game together.
