All is now set for the maiden edition of an outdoor five-aside hockey tourney among hockey players in Ondo state.
The event which will kick start at the Ondo state sports complex will see male and female hockey players competing.
Head coach Ondo state hockey team Oloruntola Mark, popularly known as KC revealed that players that will represent the state at the national sports festival and some at the junior cadre will compete.
Coach mark further said Players have been grouped into five teams for the two day event.
He however commended the sponsor and initiative of the tourney, Michael Akintunde, a seasoned journalist, who he described as a rare Gem
” Mr Michael Akintunde has shown why he is the best among the rest and he has laid a great foundation, he is simply a blessing or Ondo state”
The aim of the Tourney is to keep Ondo state hockey players in Good shape ahead of the National sports festival.
Certificates and Prize Money will be given to participating players.
