A new coach for sunshine stars football club of Ondo state has been unveiled.
He’s a Cameronian born football tactician Mr Emmanuel Deutsch
Mr Emmanuel Deutsch replaced coach Deji Ayeni who is currently with Akwa United football club of Uyo.
Unveiling the former Abia Warriors coach to members of the Sports writers Association of Nigeria Ondo state chapter,the deputy governor of Ondo state who also double as the acting governor of the state Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa said with the wealth of experience of the Cameronian, Sunshine stars have been more fortified to excel in the current Nigeria professional football league season.
Mr Aiyedatiwa who further confirmed the return of sunshine stars back to the Akure sports complex after been banished to the Dipo Dina stadium in Ijebu-Ode Ogun state over match violence appealed to the teaming fans to be peaceful in all home matches to avoid another sanction.
The acting governor noted that before the return of sunshine stars to Akure,all football stakeholders such as the referee association,stewards and supporters club have been fully sensitized.
Earlier chairman Sports writers association of Nigeria Ondo state chapter Mr Wahab Bankole commended the three man committee in charge of ODSFA led by Mr Aiyedatiwa for revitalization of sunshine stars from relegation threatening team to a title contender.
He assured the support of the pen pushers in objectively reporting activities of the state owned football teams.
Some of those who graced the occasion included the Ondo Attorney general and commissioner for justice Mr Charles Titiloye,Mr Tunde Ogunja,Mr Akin Akinbobola among others.
Sunshine stars presently occupied sixth position in the current table of the Nigeria professional league and will be facing league leaders Rivers united in a match day 24 on Thursday at the Ondo state complex.
