Sunshine Queens football club will today (Wednesday) trade tackles with Ekiti Queens FC in the matchday five of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) at the Oluyemi Kayode stadium Ado Ekiti.
The Akure Landladies arrived Ado Ekiti yesterday morning with the aim of grabbing the maximum points against their neighbours.
The team’s assistant coach, Olanrewaju Ale, in a chat with newsmen, said they are in Ekiti to pick three maximum points against their host, saying his players are ready to get the job done positively.
Ale added that Ekiti Queens is a team well known to them, saying about five of his former players are their starters, so we are going to deploy the right tactics to achieve our target.
According to him, “We are not happy with our current stand on the league log, but we are not going to be dettered by the temporary set back.
“We are going to return to winning ways, and get back to our rightful place on the log.” Our players are well motivated, and they are ready to make us proud.
“We have instructed the players to play their heart out against Ekiti Queens and ensure they get their confidence back by picking the maximum points at stake.”
“We have been working hard since we came back from Rivers State where we lost 3-0 to Rivers Angels, all we are doing now is to go all out and recoup the lost points from the fountain of knowledge,” he said.
