Ondo to partner police secondary school in discovering talents for national competition

The commandant police secondary school Ita-Ogbolu, Akure, CSP Abdul Sulu-Gambari says aside impacting knowledge and other educational instructions on the students,the school is also raising them to be active in all sporting activities.

CSP Sulu Gambari stated this during the annual inter-house sports competition at the schools sports ground Ita-Ogbolu.

He noted that the Nigeria police force is known for raising talents and the school will not deprived any students with skills to thrive in any sporting activities of their choice.

On his part ,Ondo state commissioner for sports and youth development Mr Dotun Owanikin while commending the efforts of the school in combining education with sports commended the school for providing a platform platform for the students to showcase their talents.

He further shower encomium on the nigeria police for its various sporting competitions which has produced the likes of late Sunday Bada and Olympic gold medalist Mary Onyali

Mr Owanikin further promised that the Ondo state sports ministry under his leadership will partner police secondary school Ita-Ogbolu to groom and pick discovered athletes to represent Ondo state in national and international games.

The cheerful students were all dressed in colorful sports wears like Blue,Yellow,Green and Red with inscriptions of different houses which included POWA HOUSE,IGP HOUSE,GOVERNORS HOUSE,COMMISSIONER HOUSE AND PTA HOUSE as they engaged in different games like Hockey,Volleyball,100 metre and relay for boys and girls.

Some of the dignitaries who graced the inter-house sports includes the general manager positive FM Akure Mr Tunde Abiodun who was represented by the head of production Mr Sukanmi Taiwo,Sunshine stars director of sports Mr Tunde Ogunja ,Coach Lawrence Adegbehingbe and a director in the Ondo state ministry of sports Mrs Evelyn Lebi.
