Chairman electoral committee for the upcoming Ondo state football association Mr Steve Alabi says the committee is ready to conduct a free fair and more credible election to ease the controversy sorrounding the state football association.
Mr Steve Alabi, a former sports writers association president stated this while speaking to journalists at a media pearly in Akure.
The committee comprises Mr Steve Alabi as chairman,Chief Ibukun Aladetoyinbo Secretary,Mr Ola Ilesanmi and Wahab Bankole will serve as members.
While explaining the process and other guidelines towards the election slated for 25th of March 2021 Alabi said the four man committee will not disappoint the trust impose on them by the Nigeria football association NFA to reposition the Ondo state football association.
The SWAN national advisory committee member noted that the Nigeria football association and the committee has no prefared candidate for all the positions and will ensure transparency calling on all eligible candidates to avoid any form of slander during their campaign.
The chairman further stated that the election will have just 24 votes from selected affiliated members of the Ondo state football association which included coaches association,referees association among others.
According to Mr Alabi nomination fee especially that of the chairmanship position have been reviewed from One hundred and fifty thousand naira to fifty thousand naira delibrately to give more opportunity for candidates with genuine ability to contest.
Sales of form commence by noon of 8th February 2021 to 16th February while election holds in the 25th March 2021.
