All is now set for the 5th Expo squash tournament scheduled to hold at the newly completed international standard squash court at the Ilorin sports complex in Kwara state.
This years edition is the 5th of it’s kind put together by the Association of former squash professional players.
Speaking with journalist in an interview, chairman of the squash expro Miss Laurel Ojo noted that the 5th edition would target players from under-11,under-13 and under-17.
The former National sports festival gold medalist further announced that already,young squash players are in high spirit to compete for honour at the tournament and over two hundred players from different States of the Federation and Squash Academies have indicated interest.
Ojo while commending the kwara State Governor Alhaji Abudlrahman Abdulrazak for massively investing in sports development and infrastructure appreciated the Governor for constructing a world class standard squash in kwara state stressing that such would encourage youths to take sports as a career and stay away from social vices.
She further applauded the Executive Chairman of the kwara state sports Commission Mallam Bola Mogaji for his foresight and wisdom in managing sports development in the state.
The 5th Expo squash tournament is slated for the 15th to 17th of August 2024 in Ilorin the Kwara state complex.
